GBL Rule 2.4 Age Restrictions – Exemption Request Form

GBL Rule 2.4 States:

“Gold and Silver are restricted to players age 16 and older. However, upon application including completion of the required waiver from a club/team delegate to the BBI (Brisbane Basketball Inc.) General Manager approval may be granted for an U16 player to be eligible to play in any GBL competition. Approval may be for the season, or for a specified game or number of games.”

Why does the player, club or team require the exemption?

I can confirm that the player waiver form has been discussed with the parent or guardian of the player. The parent or guardian is aware of the risks associated with a junior playing in a senior competition. I agree that if an exemption is approved that I will return a signed waiver form to bom@brisbanebasketball.com.au prior to the player taking the court. I understand that in failing to do this, we will be fielding an ineligible player are are subject to penalties as identified in the Core Rules and or the GBL Rules.
