The University of Queensland Basketball Club proudly traces its roots back to the early beginnings of basketball in Queensland. We field competitive senior men's and women's teams in the Brisbane Basketball Greater Brisbane League (GBL) and Senior Basketball League (SBL) competitions. Although we’re open to all players, our membership is primarily comprised of UQ students, staff and alumni.

Outside of the Brisbane Basketball competitions, UQ Basketball players represent UQ against other universities at the annual UniSport Nationals.

Some of our alumni have gone on to play in the National Basketball League (NBL), NBL1 or earnt scholarships to American colleges. However, our alumni are probably more likely to be your doctor, lawyer, engineer or physiotherapist.

Please note we do not field teams for players under 18.
