Brisbane Basketball Inc. (BBI) has been advised that the 365 Membership model will be discontinued from 2026. In response, BBI has taken this opportunity to develop a new membership approach that is straightforward, easy to understand, and simple to manage. The new system will be based on a ‘Competition Fee’. This model is already used by several other associations, and we have been working closely with both Basketball Queensland (BQ) and these associations to ensure the model is well-suited to our needs and that its implementation is as smooth as possible.

- What is the Competition Fee?
- A fee that is charged per participant, per competition.
- Set at 50% of the previous 365 Registration Fee.
- Effective from the JBC Summer 2025/2026 season.
- Future seasons will include CPI adjustments and any rounding approved by the Management Committee.
Please note:
- The Competition Fee applies only to individual player registrations.
- It is separate from any fees charged by your club.
- FairPlay Vouchers cannot be redeemed for the Competition Fee.
Implementation for Summer 2025/2026:
- The Competition Fee is now active in BasketballConnect (BC), and will be automatically applied during time of registration.
- The 365 Registration Fee is no longer applicable.
- All players registering for the upcoming season will be charged the Competition Fee, regardless of their 365 registration status.
- 365 Refund Process
- After the grading period, BBI will run a report from BC and cross-reference it with the 365 membership data.
- We’re exploring options to send personalised emails to each member, outlining the expected timeline and refund amount.
- We may contact people who are due a nominal refund, asking them to confirm if they wish to receive the refund.
- Refunds will be issued to eligible participants starting from Round 1 of the JBC Summer season.
- We aim to complete all refunds by December, noting that approximately 1,500 refunds are expected.
- What about Senior Competitions?
- A similar process will be rolled out for SBL/GBL senior members in Season 1, 2026, incorporating any lessons learned.
